Operating from two factories in the UK, Harcross Engineering was founded in the 1960’s specifically to serve a local confectionary producer who was seeking a regrinding facility for machine knives. By focusing on quality and service from the very start, the company rapidly grew and was soon manufacturing machine knives for confectionary and snack food producers throughout the UK.
As we continued to supply the knives, we were increasingly being asked to manufacture other spare parts for packaging machines. Harcross Engineering began manufacturing sealing jaws in 1970 meeting the demand for technical expertise and quality replacement parts at competitive prices. The product range continued to grow to include fin seal rollers, punches, shafts and size change parts.
In addition to providing replacement parts for end users, we began machine overhaul specifically at the request of our customers to allow them to re-use their machines for differing product lines rather than purchase new machines.
Our customer base has continued to expand and we now supply packaged goods companies, packaging machine manufacturers and converters all over the world. Working in partnership with our customers over the years has given us a level of technical expertise that is unmatched in our chosen field.
Today we continue to control all processes in house to ensure that our products are of the highest quality. The culture of continual improvement within the company sees us developing new products for specific requirements and adopting innovative manufacturing techniques to ensure the very best value and service for our customers.
